Police seek help in orv hit and run

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY- On Fri., Aug.18, at approximately 9:19 p.m. a trooper from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Traverse City Post was dispatched to an ORV crash in the area of Bunker Hill Rd and Williamsburg Rd on an off-road trail in Whitewater Township. Several dirt bike riders were traveling westbound in a group, cresting a hill. As they came over the hill, the first rider narrowly avoided a side-by-side traveling eastbound over the same hill. The second rider was unable to avoid the side-by-side and was struck head-on. The injured rider was assisted by his fellow riders to Williamsburg Road where EMS transported him to Munson Medical Center.

State Police need your help identifying the man and woman who were operating the side-by-side.
