Kingsley Area Schools to interview four superintendent candidates

KINGSLEY – The Kingsley Area Schools Board of Education has invited four candidates for an initial interview for its new superintendent. Eight people applied for the position.

The interviews are open to the public and will be held Monday, December 5, 2022.  All interviews will be held at the High School Media Center, 7475 Kingsley Rd., Kingsley, MI, 49649.

The tentative interview schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, December 5, 2022 at 4:00 pm: Julie Brown, Superintendent Elk Rapids Schools
  • Monday, December 5, 2022 at 5:15 pm: Jack Ledford, Superintendent, Waldron Area Schools
  • Monday, December 5, 2022 at 6:30 pm: Brad Reyburn, High School Principal, Newaygo Public Schools
  • Monday, December 5, 2022 at 7:30 pm: Susanne Carpenter, Superintendent, Stephenson Area Public Schools

Second-round interviews are tentatively scheduled for December 14, 2022.

Kingsley Area Schools have been assisted in the search by John Scholten, Michigan Leadership Institute.
