Grayling man injured in motorcycle accident

A Grayling man was injured in a motorcycle accident.

CRAWFORD COUNTY – On Monday, July 20, 2020 at approximately 10:41 p.m. troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Houghton Lake Post responded to a single motorcycle crash on W 5 Mile Road near Marrio Road in Beaver Creek Township.

The preliminary investigation indicates a 36-year-old man from Grayling was traveling east on 5 Mile Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, causing him to be ejected from the bike landing 30 feet from where he lost control.

The man was transported by MMR ambulance to Grayling Munson Hospital where
he was then life flighted to Traverse City Munson for further care. Alcohol, speed, and road conditions are all believed to be factors in the crash.

Troopers were assisted on scene by Crawford County Sheriff Department, MMR, and Beaver Creek Fire Department.
