RCCF Awards Grant to Higgins Lake Foundation
The Roscommon Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce that the Higgins Lake Foundation has been awarded a grant of $2,500.00 for the Dash Boat project. Funding for the project was provided by The Endowment for Higgins Lake and the John Morley Family Endowment for Higgins Lake of the Roscommon County Community Foundation.
The purpose of this grant is to maximize the effort to control and remove Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) and Starry Stonewort from Higgins Lake. Roscommon and Crawford counties rely on tourism to support the economy, so keeping the lake clear and pristine is a huge priority.
Looking to get involved? You can support The Endowment for Higgins Lake and the John Morley Family Endowment for Higgins Lake by sending your donation to RCCF at P.O. Box 824, Roscommon, MI 48653 or visiting our website at www.myrccf.org to make a donation online.
