Camp Grayling Firing schedule

GRAYLING – It will be very quiet in and around most of ranges this week, as we conduct a “Pause-Ex” in our training to complete some range maintenance on our “South” Camp ranges.  Residents in and around the area south of Camp Grayling should experience a pretty quiet week into the weekend as we take care of some Range Maintenance just before our very busy training summer season

Further north of Camp Grayling Multi-Purpose Range Complex also known as the Range 30 complex, located north of North Down River Road, east of Jones Lake Road, south of County Road 612 and west of Bald Hill Truck Trail will have some training activity taking place.  A ll roads and trails west of Wakeley Bridge road, to include; Bucks East-West Truck Trail from Jones Lake Road to Wakeley Bridge Road, Ketchum truck Trail from Bucks East-West to North Down River Road, and Stephen Bridge Road from County Road 612 to North Down River Road will be closed to civilian traffic.

The gates will be closing at 8am on Friday, May 3rd and will be closed for the majority part of the month of May.  Please respect all closed gates and do not enter these areas for your safety.  If you feel a gate is closed in error, please call Camp Grayling Headquarters at (989)344-6100 to verify the closure of the gate.  At each gate there will be a notice of when the gate was closed and a date when the gate will be re-opened.

The A10’s will be returning back to Camp Grayling’s Range 40 Complex, also known as the Air to Ground range.  Range 40 is located north of County Road 612, east of Guthrie Lake, south of Old State Road 618 and west of County Road F97 (Twin Bridge Road) .  Residents in and around the area may see or hear fixed wing aircraft beginning on Tuesday, May 7th until Friday, May 10th.
