Camp Grayling training schedule

GRAYLING – Military and Law Enforcement Units will continue to increase training here at Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training center.  There are a few small arms training ranges scheduled to be hot during this timeframe located south of the camp.  Residents in and around the area of our small arms ranges may hear small arms firing from time to time during this week.

Further north of Camp Grayling Multi-Purpose Range Complex also known as the Range 30 complex, located north of North Down River Road, east of Jones Lake Road, south of County Road 612 and west of Bald Hill Truck Trail will have some training activity taking place.  All roads and trails west of Wakeley Bridge road, to include; Bucks East-West Truck Trail from Jones Lake Road to Wakeley Bridge Road, Ketchum truck Trail from Bucks East-West to North Down River Road, and Stephen Bridge Road from County Road 612 to North Down River Road will be closed to civilian traffic.  The gates will be closing at 8am on Thursday, April 11th and will be re-opening at noon on Monday, April 15th.  Please respect all closed gates and do not enter these areas for your safety.  If you feel a gate is closed in error, please call Camp Grayling Headquarters at (989)344-6100 to verify the closure of the gate.

Camp Grayling’s Range 40 Complex, also known as the Air to Ground range, which is located north of County Road 612, east of Guthrie Lake, south of Old State Road 618 and west of County Road F97 (Twin Bridge Road) there will be no aircraft training during this timeframe.  There will be Units conducting some machine gun training.  Residents in and around the Guthrie Lakes area may hear machine gun fire from time to time during this timeframe.
