Credit union reaches food truck goal

NORTHEAST MICHIGAN – North Central Area Credit Union sponsored their annual Food Pantry drive, “Hoarding for the Holidays” and each branch was encouraged to hit a goal of $1000 or more to benefit local food pantries. Donations could be made by purchasing a paper squirrel for $5 or a paper acorn for $1.

We are pleased to announce that all of our branches beat and exceeded their goal!! The one thousand dollar goal is the equivalent of purchasing a food truck for the pantry and this drive helps make the holidays a lot brighter for our pantries and our community that is in need.  All told, members of NCACU raised $5,086.57 for food pantries in Crawford, Roscommon and Arenac County.

The Roscommon Branch reached a goal of $1,333.00, thanks to the support of members who gave so graciously. The Roscommon Branch presented their check to the First Congregational Food Pantry.
