‘Blue Goose’ stuffed in West Branch

By Carla Reeves

WEST BRANCH – Stuff the Blue Goose was held in front of the Northland Federal Credit Union on the business loop in West Branch Friday, Nov. 30.

Chairman Shannon Wiley said, “People were amazing. People were so happy to give money and toy donations! We had so much support from the community. It was a huge success.”

She noted the weather didn’t impede the turnout.

“We were freezing but it was worth it! The best part was when parents got their kids involved to donate! We are overly thankful for the generosity of Ogemaw county residents,” Wiley said.

Wiley and Shane Noble were out collecting gifts from 7:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Michigan State Police Troopers Lauren Cetnor, Trooper Carley Pitrago, Officer Blake Beehler, and Mr. & Mrs. Bawol helped throughout the day.
