Au Sable Media Group to open new weekly publication

WEST BRANCH – AuSable Media Group, LLC is launching a new weekly publication in Ogemaw, Iosco and Arenac counties called “The Ogemaw.”

“Although The Ogemaw may be new, our company is not,” said AuSable Media Group CEO Mark Constance.

“Our first publication was the Roscommon County Voice, launched in March 2010. We have been working hard to expand ever since, launching or purchasing independent publications in Crawford, Otsego, Gladwin, Montmorency, Oscoda, Iosco, Kalkaska and Ogemaw counties.

Constance said the expansion has been planned for over a year.

“Our primary focus will be accurate government coverage, school sports and activities, as well as positive community news from West Branch, Rose City, Skidway Lake, Hale, Lupton, Whittemore and Prescott,” he said.

“The Ogemaw” will be available on newsstands across the area on Thursdays, starting Nov. 15, for .50 per issue. Annual subscriptions will be $45.

“Aside from our weekly print edition, we will also cover the community through our website at UpNorthVoice.com, and our 11 a.m. daily newscast, “The SCOOP,” which can be found on the site as well,” Constance added. The company also produces Up North Voice and Michigan Boomers.
