Comerica and forensics part of COOR tour

REGION – Students from the COOR Career Tech Public Safety Program had a unique opportunity to visit Comerica Park in Detroit, and the Michigan State Police (MSP) Crime Lab in Bridgeport.

The students, from Roscommon, Houghton Lake, Ogemaw Heights, Mio and Fairview, are dual enrolled through Kirtland Community College.

Roscommon County Undersheriff Ben Lowe said the class traveled to Bridgeport where Roscommon Graduate Shane Hill did a presentation on MSP forensics.

Later, they traveled to Comerica where director of security, Jerry Conners, took the students to the Incident Command Center and spoke with them about how security functions throughout the park.

As a bonus the contingent watched the Tigers beat the Oakland Athletics.
