The A.R.K. hosts spring fundraisers

REGION – The ARK Association to Rescue Kritters is conducting its annual maple syrup fundraiser.

The syrup is produced by one of the ARK volunteers, who gathers the sap and processes it into pure Michigan maple syrup in his sugar house. It takes approximately 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup.

There are a variety of plastic jugs and glass bottles, ranging from 8 ounces to one gallon, with prices starting at $5. This year we are once again featuring the 16.9-ounce glass bottle for $10.

Each bottle has a label which pictures a kritter that has been cared for at the ARK, such as an owl, hawk, eagle, fox, fawn, squirrel, raccoon, or bunny. Proceeds from the sale will be used for the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of the wonderful wildlife that surrounds us all.

The sale comes at a most important time when the spring babies will be arriving; the purchase of the syrup will help the ARK with food, supplies, and medical care for the wildlife.
To purchase syrup contact Randy at 989-366- 9188 or 989-329- 2334; the ARK at 989-389-3305; or Barb Schreiber at 989-422-5460.

There also will be a photo shoot fundraiser April 30. Space is limited, so sign up is required. Call Peg Runyan at 989-345-0414 to register.
