ROSCOMMON- Honoring the memory of Lynda Hogaboom, former VSU Director, the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Victim Service Unit (VSU) held their Annual Lynda Hogaboom food distribution June 12. Lynda served Roscommon County as a member of the Emergency Services Response Team, Executive Director of the Roscommon County food Pantry, and was a trained member of the Victim Services Unit, serving as its director at the time of her passing November 2021.
One hundred seventy-two families received milk, vegetables and fruits, baked goods, and other nourishing items. VSU partnered with MidMichigan Community Health Services Food Program and the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to acquire and distribute the food. VSU was assisted by the Lion’s Den, Sheriff’s Department employees, and other volunteers.
