ROSCOMMON COUNTY– During their January meeting, the Roscommon County Community Foundation Board of Trustees visited the Charlton Heston Academy. Angela Crall, the academy’s Positive Behavior Interventionist/Student Services Coordinator, gave the board members a tour of the facilities and talked about the educational and extracurricular programs available to students. The tour ended at the workout room, where everyone got to try out the angled leg press machine, which was funded by a grant from the RCCF’s Community Impact Fund. Crall explained that the workout room is used by around 470 students, from grades 6-12. She also said that the equipment has many benefits for students, as it provides a way to deal with the stresses of everyday life and past traumas in a different way.
