ROSCOMMON COUNTY – Are you interested in serving your community and meeting new friends?

Join the Retired & Senior Volunteer program (RSVP) brought to you by the Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency (NEMCSA) and AmeriCorps Seniors. RSVP is open to community members aged 55 and better and allows participants to meet new like-minded friends through volunteering.

Volunteers can choose where and when they want to volunteer with over 50 locations to choose from. Mileage is reimbursed to and from your volunteer location, although some restrictions apply.

Examples of volunteer opportunities include: 

  • Pack or distribute food at local food pantries and distribution sites 
  • Help at thrift stores, libraries, or community centers
  • Provide transportation to non-emergency medical appointments
  • Assist at domestic shelters 
  • Mentor students in classrooms or after-school programs
  • Deliver meals to homebound seniors, and more.
