Camp ‘Read-A-Lot’ Met at Roscommon

Ms. Maloney’s 3rd Grade Class came to school the last day before the Memorial Day Holiday to “Camp Read-a-Lot”. Her classroom had been transformed into a campsite with four small tents and one large tent in the middle.

The students were broken down into smaller “campsites”, where the rules were:

* Do not distract others
* Always read or other class work
* Boys with boys and girls with girls, and most of all
* Have Fun

The event also included a reading of the book, “Rolling Thunder,” a story about activities at the Lincoln Memorial on Memorial Day by Veteran Calvin Witherspoon.
