ROSCOMMON- Pastor Jason Shory and wife Angel, along with fifteen volunteers at the Beacon Assembly of God honored First Responders with the Fifth Annual First Responder Breakfast on March 29.
Approximately thirty-five police officers, sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, and members of the Victim Service Unit enjoyed a hot breakfast provided by the congregation. Children of the church also made “greeting signs” thanking First Responders for their service to the community.
Pastor Jason is “thankful the church is able to do this as a sign of their appreciation” for the responders. Shory said he “feels like the world has lost respect for the work of first responders, and they don’t get appreciation for what they do.”
