Michigan School Vocal Music Association District 9 Solo and Ensemble Festival

Members of the Roscommon High School and 8th Grade Choir and Concert Choir will be participating in the Michigan School Vocal Music Association District 9 Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Beaverton High School. Student singers will be performing two musical selections of contrasting style from memory for either ‘comments only’ or for a rating from an MSVMA judge, and will be awarded points based on five elements of musicianship. These singers are students of Mrs. Shirley A. Parsons, RHS Choir Director.

Soloists are Haleigh Smith, 11th Grade, Alto, Madison Baerlocher, 11th Grade, Alto, Jeffrey Kuchar, 10th Grade, Tenor and Alyssa Vineyard, 8th Grade Soprano. Performing a duet are Alyssa Vineyard, soprano and Madison Elliott, alto.

8th Grade Mixed Ensemble includes Sopranos Jacklyn Wintersheimer, Chloe Lyons, Emma Yoder, and Alyssa Vineyard; Altos Abby Hubbard, Madison Elliott, Abby Yoder, Skye Fishell and Virginia Coulter; and Tenor/Baritones Seth Patchin, Sam Roemer, Blake Weiss, Ian Wells and Kamaron Leach.
