The Mio Moose Lodge Annual Chili Cook Off was held Jan. 14, 2012 was once again a great success. There were a total of 12 entrees, five in the mild category and seven in the hot; and 40 tasters / judges in attendance to sample all the various offerings. In the Hot category, First Place went to Lisa Dombrowski and Second Place to Helen Lomerson. In the Mild category First Place went to Jan Goodall. Second Place was a tied between Naomi Braun and Hedy Alcock.
We would like to thank all entrants and tasters for your participation and Bev Gardner for donating the artwork on the highly coveted trophy aprons. Special thanks are in order for the members who volunteered and / or donated other items: Shirley, Linda, Bob, Charlie, Kaye, Kathy, Helen, Donna, Naomi, Carol-Lynn, Pat, Dave, Priscilla and Bob.
