A day in the county in Ogemaw County

OGEMAW COUNTY – A break in the heat made for a beautiful day for the Ogemaw County Agritourism Day on June 2. Hosted by Delaney’ Wood Fired Maple Syrup south of Rose City, participants enjoyed a Chris Cake pancake breakfast and a tour of the sugar shack. But the fun wasn’t over. The tour continued at the Bristol Sheep Farm on East Ogemaw Center Road and ended at the Rose Valley Winery in Rose City.

Patti Brehler, of Lupton, and Becky Mason, of Long Lake, enjoy a glass of sangria in Rose Valley Winery’ new ‘Knotty Room.’ Future Leader Dog Sherman catches a nap at the end of the tour. Brehler is raising the nine-week-old Golden Retriever for Leader Dogs for the Blind, based in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
