Quilt walk raises more than 6k

WEST BRANCH – Hospice of Helping Hands raised more than $6,400 during its annual Quilt Walk. Members of the Rifle River Quilt Guild, West Branch Creative Arts Association, and Sharon Goatbe coordinated he event again this year.

The 33rd Annual Quilt Walk in October not only provided funds to assist non-profit Hospice of Helping Hands, Inc. with patient needs, but also drew a large variety of people from all over the state.

Over 200 unique and special quilts of all sizes and styles were on display throughout the town, along with quilting demonstrations, vendors, door prizes, the quilt raffle, a Sidewalk ‘Sewing Room’ Sale, and the popular Hugs For Hospice Boutique.

The quilt raffle winner of the donated ‘Paint Box Stars’ queen sized quilt was Pam McKay of Sterling, Michigan.
