Lantern-lit snowshoe hike at Hartwick Pines

GRAYLING – Enjoy a 1.25-mile snowshoe hike through the lantern lit, old growth forest. Hike begins at the Visitor Center and, before returning, hikers can stop at the Logging Museum to enjoy a warming fire. Visitors are welcome to begin hiking any time between 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Lanterns will be extinguished, and Visitor Center closed at 9:00 p.m. A limited supply of snowshoes are available to borrow at the Visitor Center. This event is great for all levels and ages. Participants are asked to refrain from using headlamps or flashlights unless needed to adjust shoes, etc. No reservations needed. The hike is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. For the most up-to-date information call the Hartwick Pines Visitor Center.
