PERE CHENEY – 25 to 30 people, along with the Boy Scout Troop 944, met at Pere Cheney cemetery for a day of clean up. The clean up was organized by Amber’ Pere Cheney Restoration Fund.
According to the Amber’ Pere Cheney Restoration Fund website, the group was established to: ‘… assist in the restoration and preservation of the historic Pere Cheney Cemetery through private funding and grants for the benefit of the community, state and future generations.
This to ensure that those who are interred here and those who wish to be have a proper and befitting resting place and that all who are curious about its legacy have access for years to come.’
