GRAYLING – Grayling’s annual Salvation Army bell-ringing event, running since 2012, raised $3,152.93 this year. Over three eight-hour days, volunteers ring bells at Family Fare to collect donations for residents in need, helping with essentials like heating, meals, clothing, and emergency housing.
The three-day format gives most residents a chance to give without overburdening donors or volunteers.
The Christian Help Center in Grayling coordinates the effort locally, with Flint’s regional Salvation Army covering any shortfall.
Donations can still be made by contacting the Christian Help Center at 989-348-6046 or Wayne Koppa at 989-370-5757. Community generosity continues to make a meaningful impact in Crawford County.
