ROSCOMMON – The Roscommon Area Recreation Authority (RARA) is excited to announce the Metro Park Grand Reopening on Saturday, Nov. 8, starting at 10 a.m. at 208 George Street.
This celebration marks the grand re-opening and dedication of the park under its new name. The RARA received a Land and Water Conservancy grant for $820,000 from the State of Michigan, which made the extensive improvements to the park possible. The project is now nearing completion, and the community is invited to see the results of this major investment in local recreation.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony and will highlight the park’s brand-new pump track, which is one of a kind in Northern Michigan. Guests can enjoy the festivities, explore the upgraded facilities, and celebrate this exciting milestone for the community.
Everyone in attendance will also have the chance to win a BMX bike, so be sure to be present for the drawing.
