CADILLAC — The Cadillac Area Land Conservancy invites the public to enjoy a presentation by outdoors author Jim DuFrense and a celebration of land conservation at their annual meeting on Sunday, October 9 at 2:00 pm at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center. Networking and donuts will take place at 1:30 pm.
“Jim DuFrense, award-wining author of 50 Hikes in Michigan, and a Michigan State University graduate is our guest speaker. Jim’s books and presentations help folks enjoy, appreciate, and get out into the natural world. He reinforces the importance of the work of the Cadillac Area Land Conservancy and others in preserving natural places in our area,” said Cadillac Area Land Conservancy Executive Director Chris Genty.
“This year’s annual meeting also serves as the final session in the tenure of board chair Steve Cunningham. Steve provided strong leadership as a board member and officer for over twenty years. Additionally, we will provide updates about our land preservation work and be available to answer questions from landowners interested in protecting their land,” said Genty.
