New fund established in name of Lawrence Dashner

ROSCOMMON – The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is excited to announce that a new fund has been established in honor of Lawrence C. Dashner.

He was always giving back to his community. He enjoyed volunteering at the Roscommon County Animal Shelter, Gahagan Nature Preserve and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in Michigan and Florida.

The purpose of this scholarship is to create a legacy for Lawrence C. Dashner and remember his passion for encouraging others to pursue their education and fulfill their potential. This is for graduated or graduating high school students from any Roscommon County school who is continuing their education at an accredited college, university, community college, trade/technical/vocational school. The qualifying fields of study include industrial technologies, public services, and health occupations. Students will receive a one-year award but are welcome to reapply for up to four academic years.
