MACKINAW CITY – If you don’t mind, please share this photo of the Mackinac Straits Ferry to people who may be interested! 

This is a picture of Mackinaw City, Michigan – 1950. This was before the bridge was opened on November 1, 1957, ending decades of the two peninsulas being solely linked by ferries. A year later, the bridge was formally dedicated as the “world’s longest suspension bridge between anchorages.”
