REGIONAL – The North Central Michigan Community Foundation (NCMCF) recently elected two new people to its Board of Directors to the first of three, three-year terms.
Julie Brooks, of Grayling, is an administrator at Northern Pines Assisted Living. In addition to now serving on NCMCF’s Board, Brooks also serves on the Crawford County Committee of NCMCF, helping to review and recommend Community Impact Grants each year for projects in Crawford County.
“I am really looking forward to learning more about the Community Foundation, and then sharing that with the community so organizations can take advantage of what NCMCF has to offer,” said Brooks. “That will in turn, benefit the citizens within our communities.”
Paul Bailey, of Grayling, is the Northern Michigan Area Sales Manager for America’s Preferred Home Warranty. Bailey also serves on NCMCF’s Crawford County Committee, as well as on the Crawford County Devereaux Memorial Library Board.
“The fact that I can advocate to a broader community that such a positive mechanism as NCMCF is accessible, and exists for both community-focused organizations and for those interested in giving back to their community is what I’m most looking forward to,” said Bailey of his election to the NCMCF Board. “I believe in the power of giving back. The compounded efforts of everyone giving a little of their time, treasure and/or talent can often make a positive impact toward making our communities a better place to live, work, worship, recreate, learn and play.”
Brooks and Bailey join nine other representatives from across the NCMCF service region of Crawford, Ogemaw and Oscoda Counties. Those Board members are Andrea Rose, President; Jozann Burgin, Vice President; Randy Booth, Hugo Burzlaff, Heather Grace, Marc Haring, Kristen Schubert, Brad Summers and Elana Warsen.

The North Central Michigan Community Foundation serves Crawford, Ogemaw and Oscoda Counties.
