Kalkaska County Agricultural Fair 2018 Homemaker of the Year is Named

The Kalkaska County Agricultural Fair has reinstated the Homemaker of the Year Competition for the first time in Many, Many years.

What is a homemaker you ask?

A homemaker is a man or woman who successfully manages their life in a way that benefits both their family and their community. They effectively manage their household, create a home where they celebrate their creativity, skills, and work ethic, and provide inspiration and guidance to others. They contribute to society by performing community service that reflects their values and beliefs.

We had four amazing, and talented candidates vie for the honor. Including Doris Borger, Sherrylynn Manary, Jan Aten and Tiffany Jones.

The Competition was judged by, Lois Boone former Homemaker of the State 2016, Pam Lein Northwestern Michigan Homemaker of the Year 2017 and local craftswoman, Torrianne Larke. The Kalkaska County Agricultural Fair is proud to announce that Tiffany Jones will serve as the 2018 Homemaker of the Year.

She has a FB page and will be sharing her experiences throughout the year. She will represent Kalkaska County in the Homemaker of the State Competition in August of 2019 at the Armada County Fair.We would love it if you could print something about the program. Please let me know if you have any other questions and Thank you for your consideration.
