HOUGHTON LAKE–Houghton Lake School District hosted its annual open house to welcome back students.
Parents and students gathered at the high school gymnasium to begin the night with a pep rally and directions from teachers and staff.
Hot dogs and water were passed out in the cafeteria before students headed to their schools to meet teachers and find their classrooms.
The first day of school was the Sept. 7.
