Infomercial Mania!

I was enjoying a power nap ( I call all my naps power naps.), and I woke up with one of my pet peeves! Infomercials!

On social media, email, and, of course, late-night television lurks the immensely frustrating, time-consuming, and anti-climactic land of the “”Infomercials!”” The infomercial industry has become masters of luring people into their time trap with a headline that catches your attention, promises a fantastic outcome for whatever: Lowers blood sugar, lowers hypertension, lose weight, improves brain function, makes you wealthy, attracts the opposite sex, reduce pain the list goes on and on. This industry uses every MK Ultra mind control technique blended with the infamous sales pitch. An old saw from sales training is that the more you get your customers involved, the more time they spend with you, results in more sales. If people invest time to justify their investment, they buy a product or concept. In life, we can make more money buy more goods, but there is one universal law: We cannot make more or buy more time!
While none of us know when our time runs out, we know that our time will run out one day. I do not want to waste my time getting hooked into the infomercial grinder of time.

The “”Hook”” is the opening to get your attention and a promise to deliver on their solution. “”Lower your blood sugar to the normal range with this simple trick you can make in your kitchen for pennies.” Of course, they have a product already prepared and/or instructions on how to prepare it for sale!”” You must watch this video because the pharmaceutical industry will make us take it down because they don’t want you to learn about an inexpensive way to control your disease. Next, the time grinder kicks in, and it drains your life force for the next 20 to 30 minutes. They repeat all the benefits you will have from this simple way to lower your blood sugar, they show amazing results, and then at about the 25-minute mark, they start with the testimonials on how great what they are selling is. Finally, they bring out the product they are selling and present it to you at a considerable discount! Today only get 150% off, but only if you order now!

I have been a salesperson, sales manager, and sales consultant. I promote a book by Milo-Frank “”How To Get Your Message Across in 30 Seconds or Less!”” The concept is to spend time asking productive open questions identifying what needs your product will provide benefits for. Spend a little time relationship building, Then spend 30 seconds getting your benefit-selling message across and ask for the business. Simple!

I am now immune to the infomercial hooks, and I love passing by all infomercials. My time is now my own!
