Limited action on Grayling ranges

GRAYLING – There will be no small arms ranges scheduled for this week.  It will quiet for the Residents in and around our Small Arms Ranges located north of Howe Road, east of the gas pipeline, south of Portage Creek and west of Lake Margrethe.
 A little further north at Camp Grayling’s Multi-Purpose Range Complex also known as the Range 30 complex, located north of North Down River Road, east of Jones Lake Road, south of County Road 612 and west of Bald Hill Truck Trail will not have any nactivity scheduled during this timeframe.  Some of the roads and trails west of Wakeley Bridge road, to include; Bucks East-West Truck Trail from Jones Lake Road to Wakeley Bridge Road, Ketchum truck Trail from Bucks East-West to North Down River Road, and Stephen Bridge Road from County Road 612 to North Down River Road will be open to civilian traffic.   Camp Grayling’s Range 40 Complex, also known as the Air to Ground range, which is located north of County Road 612, east of Guthrie Lake, south of Old State Road 618 and west of County Road F97 (Twin Bridge Road) will be active during this timeframe. The A-10 ground attack aircraft will be joined by Marine Corp Harrier aircraft and will be utilizing the ranges and airspace in and around the 40 complex. Residents may see and hear low flying aircraft from Monday April 20th until Sunday the 26thth of April. Starting Saturday April 23rd through May 3rd U.S. Marine Corp aircraft will be utilizing the 40 complex. They will be dropping 500lbs high explosive bombs on the range. Residence should expect to hear large explosions and low flying aircraft.   Looking ahead we have a busy training season fast approaching.
