GRAYLING – The Crawford County Commission on Aging and the Michigan State University Extension will be offering a free series of 8 classes about preventing falls called A Matter of Balance.
This award-winning program led by trained facilitators, Kaitlyn Grieb and Kaye Thomas-Hogan, emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls and is designed to help older adults manage their concerns about falling and increase their activity levels. Anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility, and strength; anyone who has fallen in the past; or anyone who has restricted activities because of falling concerns should attend.
The classes will be held twice a week for 4 weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Grayling Nature Center. Classes begin March 3 and end March 25.

Valentine’s Day Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 4-6 p.m. Dinner includes Prime Rib, Twice Baked Potato, Balsamic Glazed French Green Beans, Ramen Noodle Salad, and Raspberry Strudel.

Trip to Holland May 7 from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Trip includes lunch at Evergreen Commons Senior Center, a showing of the Ah!Men singing group, and a tour of the windmill at the Windmill Island Gardens. A stop will be made at Burger King on the way home for dinner at your own expense.

Deadline to sign-up is March 19.
