Project Present Patrol

Roscommon County Sheriff Ed Stern spoke to the Rotary Club recently regarding Project Present Patrol. The project started a few years ago when Rotarian Gordie LaFontaine asked Ed about wanting to help the Sheriff department do something for the community. The result was Project Present Patrol, where officers present a turkey instead of a ticket for minor traffic violations. Last year, 100 turkeys were presented. The Rotary Club of Houghton Lake donated $1,000 to help the project this year. Pictured is Roscommon County Sheriff Ed Stern and Rotary President Matt Nester.
