HALE– Local knitters and crocheters enjoyed the free Fiber to Fabric program at the Plainfield Township Center in Hale on June 10.  The event demonstrated how fabric and yarn are made.  Outreach Coordinator Connie Boyd, Master Spinner/Weaver, explained how various fibers including wool, cashmere, and angora are gathered from various animals and then spun into yarn.  She demonstrated the spinning technique, producing a colorful strand of yarn.  For info on future programs call 989-728-4086.
