WEST BRANCH — Clear your schedule for Friday, June 26! The Mrs. Roper Romp is returning to downtown West Branch during the Classy Chassis Car Show from 6 to 9 p.m.
Grab your brightest caftan, biggest sunglasses and boldest jewelry for an evening inspired by Mrs. Roper’s colorful style. The Dirty Mitten will host a best-dressed contest, margaritas, photo opportunities and prize giveaways. Gather your friends, dress for the occasion and get ready to strike a pose.
The free Classy Chassis Car Show will fill downtown West Branch with classic cars, hot rods and custom vehicles. Visitors can view the cars while exploring local shops, restaurants and bars. The show is part of West Branch’s yearlong celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
Adults age 21 and older can also enjoy the new Downtown West Branch Social District. The designated district runs between Second and Sixth streets and is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to midnight.
Visitors may purchase an alcoholic drink in an approved Social District cup from a participating business and carry it while walking within the marked district. Current participating businesses include Modern Craft Winery inside The Silver Lining and Highway Brewing Company, with more locations expected to join.
Drinks must remain inside the Social District boundaries. Outside alcohol is not allowed, cups cannot be refilled, and empty cups must be placed in the trash before leaving the district.
