Roscommon County
April 21, 1887: Markey Township was established after being divided from Gerrish. The first annual meeting was held May 2, 1887.

Iosco County
State records show a virtual PFAS community meeting on April 20, 2021, followed by an Air Force Restoration Advisory Board meeting on April 21, 2021, both focused on the Oscoda/Wurtsmith area. The Wurtsmith documents page also preserves an earlier round of public-facing materials from April 25, 2017, when update presentations were posted for the continuing PFAS response.

Ogemaw County
April 24, 2009: Gov. Jennifer Granholm announced that the first Michigan road project funded by the federal recovery act would begin in Ogemaw County. More than 50 vendors took part in the April 20, 2024 West Branch Michigan Animal Meet, described as the first one of 2024.

Crawford County
April 22, 2019: A Camp Grayling / Lake Margrethe remedial investigation report marked a critical point in the PFAS investigation in and around Camp Grayling.

April 24, 2024: Gov. Whitmer announced the 2025 Unmanned Triple Challenge, a new drone competition whose route would end at Camp Grayling.

Oscoda County
April 20, 2023: MI Connected Future Tour held a public stop in Mio at the Oscoda County Community Center, reflecting the county’s place in Michigan’s broadband expansion push. April 20, 2022: The Michigan Department of Corrections announced that Oscoda County agent Jessica Leski had been selected as the department’s Candice L. Dunn Parole/Probation Agent of the Year.

April 24, 1993: A severe storm with winds up to 90 mph caused significant damage across the county.

Arenac County
April 25, 2025: MDOT said work originally set to start April 21 on the Sterling Road bridge over I-April 24: The National Weather Service reported a storm with 100 mph straight line winds hit the county, causing damage across multiple areas.

April 21, 1883: Arenac split off from Bay County.

April 25, 1945: The Ulman Tavern and Sterling Hotel were sold.
