STANDISH-The Arenac Choraleers will present their 44th annual spring concert on Saturday, May 2, at 7:00 p.m. at Standish-Sterling Central High School. The program will feature a fun, danceable repertoire of music familiar to audiences of all ages.
Sponsored by the Northeast Michigan Arts Council (NEMAC), the 40-member chorus draws singers from Arenac, Bay, Gladwin, Iosco, and Ogemaw counties. The group performs under the artistic direction of Pamela Proulx, with accompaniment by Laura Keen.
Titled “Dance to the Music!” the concert highlights well-known popular songs. Selections include A MILLION DREAMS and THIS IS ME from “The Greatest Showman,” along with disco-era favorites such as BOOGIE FEVER, DANCING QUEEN, STAYIN’ ALIVE, and WE ARE FAMILY. Together, these selections promise music that invites audiences to move along with the rhythm.
Immediately following the concert, Choraleer members will host an afterglow for patrons, providing a festive conclusion to an evening of joyful, fun-filled music.
