ALPENA – Join us for a day of winter fun at the annual Alpena Ice Festival on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The day starts at Mich-e-kewis Park, where you can browse the Alpena Farmers Market. Grab a bite from food trucks, and take in a full lineup of snow and ice-related activities.
Ice sculptures arrive from Ice Creations of Napolean, Ohio, giving visitors plenty to see throughout the day, along with a huge bonfire by the Alpena Fire Department to help you warm up.
As the festival continues, head to Downtown Alpena for the evening portion of the event. Stroll the city streets to enjoy dazzling ice sculptures, listen to live music, and gather around firepits while you explore more special winter activities happening throughout the downtown.
