Gladwin Artist Guild Announces Sept. 20 & 21 Show & Sale
GLADWIN – Since its formation as a nonprofit in 1999, the vision of the Gladwin Area Artist Guild Charter Members to bring art opportunities to their community has remained the mission of all Guild members. The art of those seven Charter Members will be on display at the Artist Guild’s 19th Annual Fall Members’ Art Show & Sale on Friday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10:00am – 5:00pm at the Gladwin City Park Community Building (Use driveway between Gladwin County Courthouse and Sheriff Dept.).
Bradley Olrich, BFA, Art Faculty Advisor at Mid-Michigan College will preside as Art Judge at an Artists’ Reception on Friday, Sept. 20, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. All events are free and open to the general public to enjoy, including a daily art raffle benefitting educational art programs.
The 2019 Theme, Motion, will be interpreted nineteen unique ways. Non-Theme General and Photography categories will also vie for awards. Overall, there are twenty-three artists in competition with fifty-seven entries. The showroom floor will be filled with framed original art, prints and cards for sale by Guild members. And, there will be something for every home or office wall, and every taste and pocketbook.
