Robert Allen Hayden, 54, of Houghton Lake passed away May 13, 2016 at home.
He was born November 26, 1961 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Allen and Jeanette (Hendrick) Hayden. He grew up in the St. Paul area and graduated from high school there. He was further training as a chef and was employed at several restaurants. On September 28, 1991 Robert was married in Cadillac to Kelli Ann Zakrajsek.
Mr. Hayden lived in Marion and Merritt, before moving to Houghton Lake. He enjoyed hunting and fishing along with being a devoted father supporting his children as Christian played football and hockey, and Johanna was involved in softball and competitive cheering.
Surviving are his wife, Kelli Ann Hayden of Lake City; son, Christian Hayden of Lake City; daughter, Johanna Hayden of the Air Force serving in San Antonio, Texas; parents, Allen and Jeanette Hayden of Oakdale, Minnesota; and brother, Gary Hayden of Oakdale, Minnesota.
Memorial services for Robert Allen Hayden will be conducted in Oakdale, Minnesota. Memorial contributions in memory of Robert can be directed to the charity of the donor’ choice.
