Richard “Dick” Damon
Richard “Dick” Damon, age 80, of Prudenville, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw with his loving family by his side.
Dick was born on July 1, 1946, in Howell, Michigan, to Arthur and Mary Beth (Phillips) Damon. He was a United States Air Force Vietnam-era veteran serving as a Communication Center Specialist in North Africa and Japan. Dick was married on February 25, 1984, in Brighton, Michigan, to Susan Williams. He worked as an accountant for many years before retiring in 2024. The couple moved to Prudenville a year ago from Howell. Dick enjoyed cooking, reading science fiction, listening to music, and working on computers.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Susan Damon; children, Erika (Scott Freeman) Damon and Aaron Damon; and granddaughter, Magdalena Freeman. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lanny and Barb, and brother Jim.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel at 1 pm with Rev. Paul Kruse officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 12 pm until the time of the service. Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville.
