James William Jeske
4/28/1970 – 5/16/2026
Age 56, of Oscoda, MI passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 after a long battle with cancer. James was born on April 28, 1970 to Margaret (Cruickshank) and Bud Jeske in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. After graduation, James joined the United States Navy, where he earned his Culinary Arts degree. Post service, James married Christina Jeske (Guilds), had two children, and made a long career as a chef. James will be remembered for his love of food, family, and football.
James is survived by his wife, Christina Jeske (Guilds); his daughter, Mykala Jeske; son, Austin Jeske; brother Joseph (Linda) Jeske; nephew, Austin Potts; sister-in-law, Danielle (Jeremy) Laubon; niece, Aubrey Laubon; mother, Margaret Bess and many cousins, aunts and uncles. James was preceded in death by his father Bud Jeske; step-father, Charles Bess; and his grandparents Williams and Mary Cruickshank and Bert and Amanda Jeske. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
