ROSCOMMON – SXS Ride for the Red will take place at AMVETS Post 13, located at 8009 AMVET Drive in Roscommon, Michigan.
The event benefits #WalkForTheRed, a cause supporting firefighters battling cancer. For more information, walkforthered.org.
The weekend begins on Friday, June 27 with a meet-and-greet at 5 p.m. at AMVETS Post 13, followed by a free night ride at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, June 28, registration for the ride opens at 7 a.m. at AMVETS Post 13. The ride starts at 10 a.m., with a scheduled stop at the Michigan Firemen’s Memorial at noon. Lunch will be available for purchase at the Gerrish Township Fire Department. The ride concludes at 4 p.m. back at AMVETS Post 13. Dinner and raffles will be held at 6 p.m.
The event wraps up on Sunday, June 29, beginning with a 5K walk at 8 a.m. from AMVETS to the Lyon Township Fire Department. A pancake breakfast hosted by the Lyon Township Fire Department will follow at 9 a.m. This portion of the event is open to the public.
The cost to participate is $25 per SXS, payable on the day of the ride at registration. Food will be available for purchase throughout the event.
The event is hosted by Michigan EZ Trail Riders in partnership with the following departments and organizations:
