William A. Austin, age 86, of Gladwin, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. He was born on February 24, 1939, the son of Elmer and Helen (Aubry) Austin, in Saginaw. He was a dedicated employee at General Motors in Saginaw for many years until his retirement.
He loved visiting casinos and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams, the Detroit Lions and Tigers. William was a regular at Mack’s on Main and The Camp where enjoyed good food and familiar company.
He is survived by his sons: Alan (Angel) Austin and Ron (Kelly) Austin; grandchildren: Andy, Katelyn, and Beau; Charlie’s daugther: Mandy (Darrin) McCreery; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Jean; fiancé: Charlie; parents: Elmer and Helen; and siblings: Don and Marilyn.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw.
