Thomas Henry Cygnor, age 92, of Roscommon

Thomas Henry Cygnor, age 92, of Roscommon, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, in

Roscommon in the presence and comfort of his family.

Tom was born Saturday, April 2, 1927 in Solvay, New York, the son of Francis and Agnes (Solinsky) Cygnor.

Tom married Geraldine Drouillard on September 9, 1994 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Roscommon, Michigan.

He worked as a Milk Man, Carpenter, and as Maintenance for the Oregon Ohio Community Schools.  Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy. He served on an artillery ship in WWII. 

Tom was a true gentleman, and a gentle man.  He was special and known to many as the Cookie-Man.  Tom was a man of strong faith. He was an active participant and volunteer with St. Michael’s Parish, Roscommon, Michigan, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Tom enjoyed wood-working, gardening, baking, fishing, camping, and card-playing.  Tom loved and was greatly loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Tom is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jeri; his children David (Debi) Cygnor of Oregon OH, Paul (Anna) Cygnor of Perrysburg, OH, James (Della) Cygnor of Walbridge, OH, Romeo Caillouette of Farmington Hills MI, Gregory (Jan) Caillouette of Wixom, MI, Lyle (Pamela) Caillouette of Farmington, MI, Alan Caillouette of Harper Woods, MI, Theresa Caillouette of Lansing, MI, John Caillouette of Rogers, TX, Anne (Jeff) Bumbalough of Roscommon, MI; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Robert, Edward, and James Cygnor; and sister Bernice Hanrahan.  He was also preceded in death by wives; Eleanor Joehlin Cygnor, Ruth Dosch Cygnor.

            Family and friends will gather on Friday, September 27, 2019 for a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM with an hour of visit prior to the Mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 104 North 6th Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

            Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
