Robert “Bob” M. Williams, age 87, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday April 7, 2019 at the Lighthouse of Roscommon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Bob was born on February 16, 1932 in Lansing, Michigan to Vern and Isla (Miller) Williams. He worked as a Salesman for Beech-Nut Baby Foods and later for National Distillers before retiring. Bob was married on February 19, 1949 in Lansing to Jo A. Giza.
The couple moved to Houghton Lake in 1988 from Seattle. He was a member of the Moose, Houghton Lake Eagles where he served as a former trustee, Houghton-Higgins Lake Elks and he was awarded Salesman of the year twice from the National Distillers. Bob enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Jo A. Williams of Houghton Lake, four grandsons; Scott (Heather) Meyers, Scott (Sarah) Sims, Chad (Jenny) Sims and Jay Meyers and son-in-law; Berri Meyers.
