Grayling Rotary holds ‘Frisbee fundraiser’

GRAYLING – The Grayling Rotary Club held a Disc Golf Tournament (Rotary Spring Flinger) on Saturday May 7.

The Event was held at Hanson Hills Recreation Area in Grayling. Competitors were challenged to two rounds with the first held on the Rotary PDGA Course (Better known as ‘The Hill Course’) a 24-hole course that traverses up and down the Downhill Ski Area.

The Second Round was played on the ‘flat’ Rotary Pine Knoll Course, an 18-hole course.
Twenty people participated in this year’ tournament, competing in two different divisions, Open and Recreational. Winner’ from each division were awarded ‘Births’ to the Discraft Michigan State Finals that is held Annually on Labor Day Weekend in Ludington.

The tournament is designed raise funds for the Grayling Rotary Club to help with community projects. This year’ tournament raised $1,058.
