Vikes Compete at Falcon Invitational

WEST BRANCH – The Grayling Boy’ and Girls Varsity Track Teams Competed at the Falcon Invitational at Ogemaw Heights High School on Friday April 27. Twelve teams competed in the Invitational.

The Grayling boy’ team finished 4th in the Large School Division.
Medalists:
Shot Put- Eli Jackson 4th Place 37’10’
Long Jump- Max Halstead 2nd 17’07.5′
300 Hurdles- Anthony Harrington 2nd 48.82
4×100 Relay- 2nd 49.43 -Max Halstead, Zack Osga, Rickey Heavner, Logan Joseph

Girl’ team finished fifth in the large school division
Medalists:
Long Jump- Sorenza Couture 3rd 12’06.5′
Discus- Ellie Carr 1st 95’10’
Shot Put- Ellie Car 1st 33’02.75′
4×800 Relay- 1st 11:06 – Bri Martin, Sarah Rakoczy, Alainna Moffit, Cecelia Cvikovich
1600 Run- Bri Martin 3rd 6:12
400 Meter Dash- Alainna Moffit 2nd 1:05
200 Meter Dash- Alainna Moffit 1st 28.95

Coach Andre said this was a sold first meet.

‘It is nice to finally get our season underway,’ he said. ‘All of our athletes have responded well to this first competition of the year, we now have a baseline to work from, combine that with a clear track (no snow) for the rest of the season and we should make great progress the remainder of the season’
