16 compete in the 2025 ‘Moxie’

GAYLORD – The 4th annual ladies doubles tournament, The Moxie, took place recently at the Otsego County Sportsplex. A brief rain shower before the start gave way to perfect match-day conditions.

Hosted by the Alpine Regional Tennis Association (ARTA), The Moxie featured sixteen players from across the region competing in a full day of spirited play.

Defending champions Eve Elden and Dana Hall successfully claimed back-to-back titles, prevailing over finalists Laura Hansmann and Sheryl Eckert in a series of hard-fought sets.

In the battle for third place, Anjuli Hawkins and Celia Schropp edged out Kim Westrick and Cindy Lee in a closely contested eight-game pro set to close the tournament.
